Eyes That See and Ears That Hear
We must have spiritual eyes that see and spiritual ears that hear to know and understand the wisdom and knowledge of God. In Ephesians chapter one and three the Apostle Paul proclaimed that he ceased not to pray that the spiritual eyes of the believers be opened so that they may be filled with the fulness of God. And he finishes these prayers by emphatically proclaiming that God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Knowing that these prayers were answered, and the believers were empowered to have spiritual eyes that see and spiritual ears that hear to know and understand the wisdom and knowledge of God.
In Ephesians 1:16-17, Paul prayed "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints . . ." (KJV). And in Ephesians 3:18-19 Paul prayed that believers "may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God" (KJV).
It is the will of God for our spiritual eyes and ears to be opened to know the deep things of God, the wisdom of God, all things that God has prepared for us, and all things that God has freely given to us as written in 1 Corinthians 2:9-12. God is not hiding anything from us. It is our responsibility to position ourselves to have spiritual eyes to see and spiritual ears to hear. It is written in Matthew 7:7-8 KJV, "ask and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." And in Revelation 3:20 KJV Jesus said, "behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." We must diligently seek to have spiritual eyes that see and spiritual ears that hear.
Eight times in the Gospels Jesus preached and taught, "he that hath ears to hear let him hear." Found in: Matthew 11:15, 13:9, and 13:43; Mark 4:9, 4:23, and 7:16; and Luke 8:8 and 14:35 (KJV). All that heard had natural ears, but all had to open their spiritual ears to hear. And in Revelation seven times Jesus proclaimed, "he that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches." Found in Revelation 2:7, 2:11, 2:17, 2:29, 3:6, 3:13, and 3:22 (KJV). Again, all that heard or read the letter had natural ears, but all had to open their spiritual ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord was saying.
When we take our place in Jesus, our spiritual eyes and ears are in the throne room at the righthand of God the Father in Jesus Christ the anointed Son of God. When Jesus was raised from dead and sat down at the righthand of God the Father, we were also raised up with him and seated with him at the righthand of God the Father as written in Ephesians 1:20 and 2:6. Jesus is the head of the body. We are the body of Jesus Christ and He as the head of the body has eyes and ears in the throne room at the righthand of God the Father. Our spiritual eyes and ears are in Heaven seated in Heaven with Jesus, the anointed one at the righthand of God the Father, when we take our place in Him. We must open our spiritual eyes and spiritual ears to hear exactly what the Father and the Son are showing us and speaking to us through the Holy Spirit who abides in us. We can have spiritual eyes that see and spiritual ears that hear because the Father has sent us the Holy Spirit to abide in us to empower us to see and hear from our seated position at his righthand in Jesus Christ, the anointed Son of God.
The wisdom of God is available to us and is constantly crying out to us asking us to seek it so that it may be freely given to us, as written in Proverbs 1:20 and 8:1. And it is written in James 1:5 KJV, "if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." We just need to open our spiritual eyes and spiritual ears to see with our spiritual eyes and to hear with our spiritual ears to access, receive, and get the wisdom of God. In 1 Corinthians 1:24 Christ is called the wisdom of God and in verse 30 KJV, "but of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom . . .”
We are called to live our lives on earth seated at the right hand of God the Father in heavenly places in Jesus Christ the anointed Son of God. From this seated position of authority we have spiritual eyes that see and spiritual ears that hear, and can manifest Heaven on earth. Therefore, take your place at the right hand of God in Jesus the anointed Son of God, and begin to see and hear with your spiritual eyes and ears.
